Summary: Uriel is showing.
Uriel didn't know whether she should be more excited or scared. Her hand was tightly clutching a picture of her still unborn baby, and every now and then she looked at it as though to reassure herself that yes, she was indeed going to have a baby.
A winged baby. Wings that were white even in the ultrasound. She had managed to make her doctor believe that it was probably just a glitch in the device, but she would not have another ultrasound. The last thing she needed was the human doctor realizing that yes, her baby indeed had wings.
It did reassure her, though. Her baby seemed angelic; that should make it easier for others to accept.
Well, soon enough she would know. That morning she had noticed that her robe could no more conceal her ever growing stomach. If anybody saw her now, they would know that she was either pregnant or had gained more weight than was really likely for an angel. It wasn't hard to figure out which they would rather think.
She could only hope Adam could indeed keep her safe.
Disclaimer: The ultrasound manipulation is by War.
