Date: Dec. 30, 1999
Setting: Crowley's Room
Status: Private - Raphael and Crowley (Complete)
Summary: Raphael wants to know what happened.
Raphael awoke nearly a full day later, no longer tired but still making an effort. He blushed, crawled out of the sheets and resumed his standard sexless form with a sigh. It feel dull and almost too tight, but it was better than repeating his shameful performance of the last few days. The angel couldn't completely recall what had happened - at least not at the moment - but he did remember who'd gotten him into the pajamas and most of what had come afterward. He sighed again and went to take a long hot shower, hoping it would wash off the feeling of uncleanliness he had.
As the water pounded on him, his thoughts drifting to Falling and what it would take to go that far. He couldn't see, however, how anything that he was doing was wrong. After toweling himself dry, he stepped into his room, brushed his hair and put on a clean robe, tossing the pajamas aside. It had been ages since he'd gone to the hospital wing, or so it seemed to him, and it would probably be best to go there and make sure things were in order. Not that many people got sick - but it seemed to be his duty.
When he reached the wing, however, he found a rather unpleasant surprise waiting for him.
Somebody had performed a major operation without his permission!
Incesnsed, he stormed off to the room of the one known trouble-maker in the mansion whose lingering aura he'd sensed. Frankie followed close at his heels until they came to the appropriate door. Raphael banged on with all the fury of a righteous archangel about to do some serious smiting.
"CRAWLY!" He screamed at the wood. "OPEN UP! I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE AND I DEMAND TO KNOW WHAT YOU DID IN MY INFIRMARY!"
His fist slammed against in a few more times, waiting for the demon to open it up.

Now tell me or..." He smiled as an idea crossed his mind. "Tell me or I shall go and fetch Michael and get him to force it out of you. He would do it if I asked.
So start talking unless you want an altercation."

Then he thought about Belial and sobered up a little. Crowley had been having nightmares since then - nightmares full of blood, glistening organs, and fevered screams - and he was not feeling particularly inclined to sharing information with anyone right now, let alone this pompous angel. Besides, the archangels hadn't exactly been forthcoming with information when he'd needed it. Knowing it was petty revenge and not caring, he continued to speak.
"Being the resident healer does not make you the sovereign leader of the hospital. If I have need of it, I will use it at any time I like, without your permission."
But he really hoped he'd never have to again.

Date: 2006-01-13 07:18 pm (UTC)Raphael frowned and looked at him furiously. He really didn't want to involve Michael but he also wanted answers.
"Why are you so evasive?" He asked, suspicious. "What were you doing in there that's so dubious you don't want me to know about it?"
He grew more irate as he considered another point.
"And didn't you even consider asking me to help? I am the one with the surgical expertise here, you know. I would be the natural choice to perform an operation but no, you just leave me out of it!
You will tell me - or I will see to it that nobody ever uses it again without my say so! Just tell me!" He said, exasperated.

Date: 2006-01-13 07:34 pm (UTC)He shuddered to think what would have happened had Raphael been involved in the spell.
"I'm being evasive because it is still none of your business and you can't make it yours just by insisting. And did you ever consider that maybe we... I didn't want you involved and maybe that's why I didn't ask for your help? I did an excellent job on my own." Well, until the end... he added mentally. "You can't prevent me from using the hospital, so bugger off. There's a good angel."

Date: 2006-01-13 07:47 pm (UTC)"He could if he wanted too! And he would come if I asked. You probably just got lucky - well it won't happen again."
When he got rebuked again his face flushed. Everybody kept him out of everything, it seemed. He didn't know what other angels were doing, didn't know anything about efforts, didn't even know what was going on in his own hospital!
"Oh, I'm sure you did - you unqualified butcher! I can prevent you - and don't you tell me what to do!"
He was excessively annoyed with the demon's stonewalling. It was the 'good angel' remark that pushed him over the edge however.
Though he nearly had to jump up to do it, he slapped Crowley in the face.
"DON'T YOU CONDESCEND TO ME!" He screamed.

Maybe if you weren't such a fucking arrogant, whiny, childish, pathetic pain-in-the-arse, I wouldn't have had to do your job for you. Until you grow up and realize that the world doesssn't revolve around you, I'll do whatever the fuck I please."

Date: 2006-01-13 09:05 pm (UTC)"Let me go!" He pleaded. "And don't hiss at me!"
His eyes grew glassy and he considered threatening to call for Michael again, but didn't when he heard Crowley's accusations.
"I'm not arrogant. Not at all. Or any of the other things you said. I serve and help others, unlike some beings I could name."
He tugged again to get out of Crowley's grip.
"You didn't do the the job because I couldn't do it. You did it because you wanted to leave me out! Just like everybody leaves me out of things and then blames me when I don't know what's going on - it's not my fault! You should have gotten ME for whatever it was and you didn't because you're stuck up.
That's it, isn't it? All your insults and exclusion, you think I'm stupid and naive! Well I'm not! You're not better than me demon, not by far."
His cheeks were flushed and despite being unable to move he threw Crowley's words back at him.
"Unless you tell me what you did, I'll do whatever I please - I'll slap you again if I want!"
Still trying to break free, he kicked Crowley in the shin with the heel of his left leg.
