Setting: The pool and spa
Date: 28th Decemeber
Status: Public (feel free to catch Harry feeding Sugarplum)
Summary: Harry feeds his newest friend.

Harry walked aprehensively into the great, cavernous room that housed the pool and hot tub. He knew that he really shouldn't risk coming down here again for a while, not since the incident a few days ago in which unpleasant personage that was Duke Ligur had warned him in a very threatening manner against feeding the creature; but the thought of the poor thing having to spend the day alone, with nobody to say a kind word or sneak it treats was just too heartbreaking to consider.

As he guiltily tried to avoid looking at the 'DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FEED THE TENTACLE MONSTER: BY ORDER OF DUKE LIGUR' notice he removed a large packet of Delux Marshamallows from the ASDA carrier bag he carried.

"Hello Sugarplum," he said quietly.

A bulbous, yet strangely cute, head bobbed to the surface.

He held up the marshmallows "Look what I've got."

Sugarplum extended a tentacle and widened her large eyes in a pleading gesture.

Harry furtively reached into the packet and produced a pink marshmallow, which he the allowed the creature to remove from his hand.

After greedily devouring the confectionary Sugarplum playfully tapped Harry on the shoulder. "Oh, I can't play water tag today," he said, I haven't got a bathing costume with me.

It was then that Harry heard the unmistakeable sound of footsteps coming down the stairs that led from the lobby down to the spa. Realising that there was nowhere he could run without being seen and nowhere that he could hide, he hastily stuffed the empty marshmallow packet into the carrier bag and pretended to be suddenly very interested in the water quality of the hot tub.

Uriel smirked. Oh, yes, Duke Ligur did have quite a temper indeed, although he was far from the worst demons. Bad enough, though. (Uriel perhaps preferred to stay neutral, but he was entitled to a personal opinion or two, right?)

"A fake indeed," he commented. "I am certain that, should he ever actually take sweet Sugarplum here into any kind of monster show, the only certificate he would get to his wall would be that of The Greatest Failure. Not that I think that our dear tentacle monster is a failure, no, far from it," he said, offering Sugarplum a few more marshmallows from his ever-full bag to assure her of his good will, "but I don't think she exactly fills the usual standards for tentacle monsters. But you are right, I think. Duke Ligur, while certainly not the most pleasant of fellows, is not all bad. Very few beings are in the end."

"Oh?" Uriel raised an eyebrow. He very much doubted that anybody with such a powerful magical aura would go for drug smuggling, but he chose to be quiet about that. Something told him that it wouldn't be wise to say anything about it -- mostly the fact that the boy didn't seem to have any memories of his powers. Better not let him know about them, then; that might shock him a bit too much.

"Drgu smuggler? That sounds... interesting. Let's hope your life will turn out a bit better this time around, eh?" He placed a few more marshmallows into a begging tentacle. The damage to Sugarplum's monstrous nature was probably already beyond any remedy Duke Ligur could come up with, but, well, it wouldn't hurt to make it even more so, right? And besides, the tentacle monster was truly cute in a way.
