Date: March 28, 2001
Status: Private (Pepper, Metatron)
Setting: The greenhouse
Summary: It's about time to see rather a bit more sun.
He should, the Metatron supposed, have come out here earlier than now- after all, it had been rather a while back in the last year that he'd spoken to Adam about this. Still, this was the same decade. That was fairly good going- there'd been times when there hadn't been a clear path to the door, and it had taken a while to clear it, especially if it was all screaming a need to urgently be read…
However, there was currently no paper around, and it would have been completely inappropriate to bring large amounts of paper, so he put that to one side, and continued walking. There was a greenhouse about somewhere, he thought. Probably with a path leading to it. If Pepper was about, that would probably be the best place to find her.
Once he'd found the path, it was easy enough to find the greenhouse. Reaching it, the Metatron paused for a moment, then reached out to knock on the door. "Excuse me? Pepper?" he called.

Pepper was pulling some dead leaves off of one of the plants she couldn't name (a wizarding one, of course) when she heard someone call her name. The voice wasn't readily familiar to her, but she knew it all the same. Cosmic Megatron again. Hadn't seen him in a good long while. Those angels were funny that way, disappearing all the time and coming back. "Yeah? 'M over 'ere."

The Metatron came over, and watched her for a moment or two. He hadn't really worked with plants much- certainly not for rather a while, in any case. He had been doing some reading, though, and thought he had an idea of what she was up to.
It didn't strike him that that was perhaps the best thing to start off with, though. Probably he should make it clear that it was him and not someone else first. Oh, and what he was doing looking for Pepper. "It's good to see you again," he said, and wondered whether to add, and dry. But people spent most of their time being dry, didn't they? It would be foolish to comment on that, then. "It's been a while. I haven't seen much fuschia since we last met," and, somewhat dryly, "but perhaps coming out more would have helped." He paused for a moment. "…I understand fuschia is also a plant. Is there any on the grounds?"
Well, it was a starting point.

She sort of felt sorry for him, which prompted her to give an honest answer, odd as his segway had been. "No fuschia that I know of. But there's lots of other plants what are real int'resting. You got a curiosity 'bout gardening then, or did you come for another reason?"

"Well, you see, Adam mentioned- ah, rather a while back, I'm afraid- that since the grounds here are rather large, perhaps you might like some help. I'd like to help, if you wouldn't mind. But I would be interested in learning more about gardening either way."
