Date: December 4
Status: Public
Setting: The Manor Lobby
Summary: Raguel arrives at the manor
By the time Raguel reached the manor he felt that he had mostly mastered the complicated art of walking. He’d cracked his brow neatly into pavement the first time he’d stepped from rain-damp grass onto a road, not realizing that he had learned to walk compensating for a slick surface beneath the soles of his feet. The pain had been… distracting, and so he’d silenced it with a thought, but it hadn’t occurred to him to do something about the cut above his right eyebrow.
It took him a moment to figure out how to open a door but after a few seconds of reflection he managed it and found himself stepping into the lobby of the building. Those with the ability to recognize him would know that he had arrived; he hadn’t done anything special to announce himself, but then he didn’t really need to.

Date: 2006-12-04 11:46 pm (UTC)Sorry for butting in...
Date: 2006-12-05 09:49 am (UTC)It was a bit annoying when her mouth decided to take charge all by itself.
not at all!
Date: 2006-12-07 07:38 pm (UTC)“Your question?" he asked her, emphasis balanced equally on both words, the expression in his eyes politely quizzical.

Date: 2006-12-07 07:52 pm (UTC)"What I mean is," she said, coming down the last few steps and throwing a smile to Uriel before looking up at the newcomer, "Is anything your people need to know going to harm Uriel and her kid? Because if the answer happened to be yeah, then since she's in charge, you're gonna have one cranky kitty on your hands, okay?"

Date: 2006-12-07 08:30 pm (UTC)"Okay."
((Woo, not very talkative, is he? >.<))
just for the record - in my previous post, that should be 'in her charge'.
Date: 2006-12-07 08:44 pm (UTC)Bast stared at him with that disconcerting look that cats can have but rarely appear on human faces. When she didn't get a rise out of him, she turned to Uriel.
"You okay there, Uri?" She asked, tilting her head to one side.

Date: 2006-12-08 10:55 am (UTC)"Don't you go slipping off to la-la land now, okay?" She said quietly, only enough for her friend to to hear. "What I said to tall-dark-and-stone-faced is true. They wanna mess with you, they have to come though me, right?"

Date: 2006-12-08 11:18 am (UTC)"I'll try my best not to," Uriel said softly, and meant it. "...And thank you. Really."

“‘Stick me?’” he asked when the words spoken were no longer intended to be private. “Ah, yes. The Antichrist said that you would ‘assign me a room’.”

Date: 2006-12-08 06:16 pm (UTC)This she could do. It was all in the papers; there was even a little map of the rooms. This didn't really require her to think.

Date: 2006-12-08 10:35 pm (UTC)"You may choose; I trust your judgment," he told her. A strange thing to say, considering that it was he who was here to pass judgment upon her.
Eventually. But it could wait for now.

Date: 2006-12-08 11:31 pm (UTC)“But we will speak again soon, Uriel,” he said softly. “As you know we must.”
There was command in his voice.

Date: 2006-12-11 09:22 am (UTC)"Perhaps somewhere more private," he suggested, his eyes flicking to the other woman who stood nearby, sharing the occasional soft word with Uriel.
"We may meet in the room to which you just assigned me, or in yours if that would be more comfortable for you."

Date: 2006-12-11 10:09 am (UTC)A moment or too later, a small brown housecat came stepping along quietly, and, curling her tail about her hindquaters, sat down at the foot of the desk and proceeded to wash her ears.

"She is very pretty," he observed. He hesitated a moment, then crouched down and extended a hand to the small creature, brushing it lightly across her back. "So soft." He smiled at Uriel.
