Sirius gave what Harry says about Adam a moment of consideration. Sirius didn't know Adam particularly well. They'd exchanged a few words, and Sirius felt that he had to be a decent sort as he'd helped Remus out from time to time, but this was interesting. He didn't think he'd be able to swallow his pride enough to ask Adam to help him with the nightmares (and they've been getting better, too, he's sure of it), but if what Harry says is true, Adam must be a very powerful wizard.

He smiled reassuringly at Harry's next comment. "Can't say I blame you. There've been times where I'd give nearly anything to forget some things." His smile drops suddenly. "I--I couldn't say if your life was something you'd want to remember or not. I hope it was, and I think it was, but I don't know. You've been through a lot more than any boy your age should have had to go through. But I've been through an awful lot myself, and despite it all, forgetting all of the bad memories wouldn't be worth losing the few good ones. I hope it would be the same for you, Harry."
