Mictain yelped in surprise as War suddenly grasped his wrist. Then, however, he went back to warrior mode, rolling over. War and he were probably quite well matched in terms of skill and strength, but he had the advantage of greater height and weight. Thus, with this trick, he should be able to get away from War's hold on his arm, adding his body mass to his physical strength.

If this didn't work, he'd have to come up with something else.
