The Doctor returned the smile, if a little faintly. "We're all mad here," he said softly.

He nodded towards the bowl. "Thanks for the jelly babies, Uriel. I mean it when I say they're the best I've ever had."

The Doctor ran a hand through his hair, smiled again at the angel, and went to find a quiet spot where he could sit down and think about all this.
