Uriel's expression brightened even more at the mention of her baby. "Oh, the baby is fine," she said. "It's kicking, too, although apparently not strongly enough to feel it on the outside yet." She placed a hand lovingly on her round belly. "It's wonderful to feel it, you know. At one point I almost thought there isn't anything in there after all, but now I definitely know. Of course, the ultrasound helps too."

Her smile turned from delighted to slightly dreamy. "I can hardly wait until it's big enough for be to teach it to fly."
