"So I'm just some kind of an alien, then?" Mictain shook his head. "Not bloody likely. For your information, I remember quite clearly the whole history of Earth, all the way back to the Creation. If I were an alien, I would have had to come from somewhere, right? However, I was there even before there was anything."

He let his claws grow and inspected them closely, not to threaten but because it had become a habit. In Hell, not having your claws in a proper condition might bring about your loss. Not that he had lost any fights during his time Down There, of course.

"I know very well the power of belief," he said. "I have seen gods and religions rise and fall. To me, however, it's not a question of belief. It's about knowledge." He raised his eyes from his claws to the man, the red depths flashing. "As for whether we're going to harm the humanity, well, define 'harm'. I myself am not too eager to let the world end, but some people on both sides seem to think it's a good idea. Go figure. I've only ever used violence against the other side, not humans. It's not my job."

He raised his eyebrows at the introduction. "A Time Lord? I've never heard of such a thing."
