Setting Manor Pool

Summary Apollo swims. In a thong.
Even after all this time, Apollo was not wholly sure why he’d chosen a white thong; he did know why he’d chosen a thong—it was the closest thing to naked that modern law allowed—but why it was white, he had no idea. It just seemed like the right colour.
His hair loose, he smiled as he saw the skylights. Well, that was better than nothing. Setting down his towels, he shed his sandals (gold sandals) and executed a magnificent racing dive off the deep end. Chlorine was not a favourite of his, but he’d been spoiled by the pool on Olympus, with its fresh water that was always the perfect temperature and never had anything living in it.
Pushing off the shallow end, he began another lap, feeling the comforting warmth in his muscles. It was very nice to be able to play during the day. Helios was a wonderful companion, but Apollo had never had any time to do anything during the day, as it was his duty to actually make it daytime. At least Selene had breaks every month.
Sitting on the steps of the shallow end, Apollo thought on Hermes. He’d left the boy in a bookstore for today, to keep him occupied, reading a novel series that would take at least a week to finish completely; but that was a week, and Apollo was running out of ideas to keep his brother's intellect entertained. Hermes needed round the clock watching. Oh well, Apollo thought, beginning to swim again, lazily side-stroking. It’s not as though we ever got tired of each other. It will be nice to take care of someone again.
