Pepper blanched and bit her lip. "You.... I wouldn't call that messin' people about Adam. I'd call that savin' 'em."

Maybe she and Brian had endured a slew of experiences in their time away, but Adam... oh, why hadn't he told them? "I'm sorry, Adam. I'm sorry you had to do all of that without us." It was all she could think of to say.
