Raphael registered the fact that it was Constantine who had knocked only moments before being punched in the face. He staggered backwards and fell, then regrouped a second later.

Great. He thought. He's heard something.

He still felt ambivalent enough - not to mention tired - to want to see the situation come to an end without further escalation. Even so, he already felt his blood starting to boil.
