Summary: Harry's sleep walking

He was asleep. This was by no means an unusual occurence. What was slightly out of the ordinary however was the fact he was currently weaving his way around the second floor. He wasn't aware of this of course. His mind was currenly spewing up fragments of the most unpleasant of the memories Harry had banished to his deepest sub-conscious.

There was a flash of green light and Dumbledore fell.

Harry wanted to scream but...

...but there was a Dementor coming straight at him and he couldn't seem to remember how to make it go away and...

...and the Basilisk was coming at him and he tried to look away before he met its gaze but it was too...

...too late to save Cedric who'd just crumpled to the floor.

The feverish nightmare parade suddenly shifted again. This time however the scene was more... more real, more immediate.

The room looked something like an ancient dungeon. An enormous snake slithered apathetically at the feet of something horrifyingly inhuman.

The terrifying figure turned to the blonde haired man who seemed more than vaguely reminiscent of Draco.

"This won't do Lucius."

The blonde haired man bowed his head deferentially. "No Lord. But we have tried...."

"I don't care how how much you've tried. I want him found."

"My Lord, is there any possibility that the boy might be dead."

"No Lucius. He is not." The abomination gave what looked like an almost-fond glance at serpent.

The man called Lucius visibly recoiled as the snake brushed past his ankles.

"And what should we do with the Auror. Bellatrix assures me that there is nothing more of worth to be gained from keeping him alive."

"Send him in Lucius. Nagini has gone hungry for far too long.

And with that Lucius exited the room and returned a few seconds later with a shaking, gibbering, tormented shell of humanity in tow. The man wasn't even bothering to struggle as the snake began to coil around him.

He wanted to look away, but found his gaze fixed upon the scene playing out before him.

For a second the serpent paused and looked directly at him - a note of something almost quizzical in its eyes - before opening its jaws and....

Harry's eyes slammed open.

He was standing in the middle of what seemed to be a dark, abandoned hallway, covered in a cold sweat and with a piercing headache that seemed to radiate from the spot on his forehead where he had the tattoo.

Scared, alone and disoriented, he did the only thing that sprang to mind.

He screamed
