Setting: Tadfield Manor
Summary: Leaving, but for a much better cause.
Despite every angel's, and demon's, other senses, a full day of searching had not yielded one demon in particular, even in such a small arena as the Manor to be searching. Aziraphale wasn't surprised; he knew well that they both had business that was almost paltry enough not to bother sharing, and business that they perhaps didn't trust each other with yet.
He'd met with Ellie earlier, and knew there was little time to waste since the news that there had been a sighting in the very far East by a passing cherub - the news had come from Aziraphale's people for once, as the subsequent scramble to be the first to get to the girl became apparent. If they didn't arrive first... Frustrated, Aziraphale had sat down and carefully scribed a note, with very practised handwriting that still with a trace of unnecessary formality.
My dear Crowley,
When we spoke, I mentioned Ellie to you, and it seems we're going to go off to have a look around Tibet. I don't think either of us will be very reachable for the time being, but I shall be home soon. I'll try and give you a ring when I can; I've heard it's quite a bit more modernized since the last time Britain had a post there.
I'm sorry I couldn't find you to tell you myself before I left. Perhaps we could have tea together when I return?

He folded it up, slipped it under Crowley's door in unknowing irony, and walked away.
