Summary: The sphinx visits the hospital.



The sphinx was looking for Anathema Device. Mostly it was because she had run out of the cream she used to alleviate her itching - some sort of allergic reaction to the presence of all the supernatural beings, she suspected - but a small part of it was due to her starting to feel a bit neglected and in need of intelligent company. And the woman was clever, she had to grant her that.

Thus, Sphix barged into the hospital wing, fully expecting to find the mortal in the same spot where she had been the last time the sphinx had needed her assistance. To her dismay, however, she found the room empty. For a moment she stood still, feeling vaguely hurt. Where was that woman? Why was she avoiding her? Plotting something, was she? But she would show her. Oh yes, she would.

Ruffled, the sphinx tried another room, and then another. Finally she found Anathema from a hospital room, together with the redheaded man she had met over a lunch. The sphinx frowned and slammed the door open.

“There you are”, she said, striding into the room. “I have been looking for you. Hiding from me, weren’t you?”
