It had an intimidating look to it, to be sure. But more than that, it held a sense of being oddly out of place: like some child's dollhouse that had been dropped carelessly and forgotten where it lay. She watched it rather suspiciously, as though just approaching the place would be enough to trigger some outburst of oddities.
