"Quite strange of you to call yourself a not-god," Mictain said, misunderstanding the god's words on purpose. "And damn right you won't bloody regret it for long after I've fucking killed you." Perhaps Mictain was not always the sharpest crayon in the box, but he hadn't been the Captain of the Host because he was the loudest person around (although that might very well be true, too). He knew almost everything there was to know about fighting, and this included the fact that in a fair faight -- or even a pretty unfair one -- Loki would be no obstacle for him, not in the god's current condition. He didn't know anything about the sickness, but millennia of always valuing people by how well they would do in a fight had made him more than well capable of seeing weakness in others.
"Quit with your games, they are fucking annoying," he then said. "As long as no harm comes to the brat, I've nothing against you -- well, not much, anyway. So fucking keep that in mind and I won't have to rearrange your face."
