She blinked comically. "Demons? I've only met one of the demons 'round here, is it him?" She had to ask. The whole situation was far too amusing. Pepper pouted jokingly. "However do ya manage to fight off all the attention?" He certainly liked all this head-scratching so she kept going, chuckling to herself a little.
She couldn't explain why what he was saying made her sad, but it really did. "I think your kids'd be cute, though I dun't know why you'd ever want ten or twenty," she said with a small smile. "Anyways, I wasn' necessarily talkin' 'bout a family. I was just talkin' 'bout..." What was she talking about? "It just seems really unfair that you can't live your own life. Even 'f you got responsibilities. I know you, you wouldn't let yourself get influenced or distracted. And it would seem wrong, seeing you have to deny yourself things like that. I'm sure you've got millions a reasons why I dun't understand the situation on your terms, but it still doesn' sit right."
Pepper rolled her eyes. "What'do I look like, a matchmaker? I'm not sayin' a word. Just hope it all turns out alright." For all of them...
