The Metatron gave him a slightly startled look, and opened his mouth as if to say something, then gave the rest of the room a look and apparently decided against it, instead looking down at the pretzel he was now twirling between him fingers. "Of course," he said, sounding unhappy. "I wouldn't have particularly thought that you would."
