Loki leaned forward quickly to get a better look at the rat. Too quickly. His vision blacked out and thelid slipped from his hand as he raised his hands to his face.
He couldn't faint now! He'd collapse onto the box and Ratty! The box might be pushed over. It definitely would be rattled and the poor rat would be scared.
Somehow he managed to roll back onto his pillow instead.
"Damn." His voice seemed unusually weak in his ears.
