Loki looked up at the unexpected voice. Anathema had to be either on coffee break or asleep at her desk to enable two visitors to get in at once. Usually he was only allowed one a day.
"Ellie!" he exclaimed happily. "I haven't seen you in months! Been away for a while?"
Well, most likely she'd just not needed the hospital wing. He'd occasionally seen her in the corridors or the restaurant when he'd still been able to walk around the manor. He didn't know her well enough to ask any more personal questions, though. Better to let her choose the topic.
"Um, you're not afraid of rodents, are you?" he added after a moment. Human women of this time had a tendency towards surprisingly extreme reactions to rats and he didn't want to offend either her or his new friend. Well, friend to be Loki hoped at least. The rat still was hiding in the back corner of the box in fear.
